Wendy and Jonathan’s pink, coral and yellow Gila Valley LDS Temple wedding was such a beautiful event! Wendy chose colors that matched her vibrant hair and personality, and which completely highlighted her gorgeous and elegant Mon Cheri dress—She was absolutely stunning! And wait until you see her bouquet, it was a show-stopper!
Wendy and Jonathan met on the internet and have been together for about a year and a half. Jonathan told me he loves that they have a lot in common, especially the nerdy interests that they can share together. I loved hearing that, since I kind of feel like I’m a nerd at heart, too! Rustin and I completely geek out about things like the making of movies, trivia and even book series’, so hearing that Wendy and Jon both love Harry Potter brought a smile to my face. 🙂
Saturday was supposed to be warm and cloudy, and I was prepared for that…but what I wasn’t expecting was the WIND! I don’t know why I didn’t think that might be a factor—I mean, this IS the Southwest, and we do get a lot of that around here—but I guess I thought it was too warm for high winds?? I spent the 45 minutes prior to their temple exit scoping the best spots for both light and wind blocks. I think it totally paid off though, because you can hardly tell in the pictures that there was even a breeze! It’s a good thing that I wasn’t in the frame for these, though, because MY hair was blowing across my face and stuck in my mouth for the majority of the time.
Thankfully the cloud cover didn’t last the whole evening—sunset portraits are my jam and we had the timeline lined up perfectly for those. I’m so glad the sun broke through at the perfect time for some beautiful backlit, glowy portraits.
Wendy and Jonathan, thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your story! It’s been a pleasure getting to know and serve you, and I wish you the very best in your new life together.
